This policy applies to bale-web.com and every chat, page and feature offered under the Bale Web name. By using Bale Web you accept the practices described below.
Who we are
Bale Web operates the website bale-web.com and the companion chat available through it. Where this policy says "we", "us" or "Bale Web", it means that operator. Where it says "you", it means the adult using the service.
Scope of this policy
This policy covers the Bale Web site and chat only. It does not cover third-party sites you reach through a link from Bale Web, and those sites have their own rules.
Age requirement
Bale Web is strictly for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from minors, and any account identified as belonging to a minor is closed and its data erased.
Account information
To create an account we ask for an email address and a password. A display name is optional. We do not require your legal name, postal address or phone number to chat on Bale Web.
Conversation content
Messages you send to a companion are stored so the conversation can continue with memory intact. Without storage, every session would start blank, which is the opposite of what Bale Web is for.
Personality and preference settings
Sliders, interests, backstories and voice choices are saved to your account so your companion behaves consistently between visits.
Technical data
Like any website, Bale Web receives an IP address, browser type, device type, language and timestamps. This is used for security, abuse prevention and basic reliability.
Payment data
Card details are handled by our payment processors and never stored on Bale Web servers. We keep only the plan you are on, the renewal date and an anonymous transaction reference.
Cookies and similar technology
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember interface preferences and measure aggregate traffic. You can clear or block them in your browser, though sign-in will stop working if you block essential cookies.
Analytics
We look at aggregated, de-identified usage patterns — page views, feature use, retention. We do not build advertising profiles from your conversations.
Why we process your data
To provide the service you asked for, to keep accounts secure, to handle payments, to comply with law and to improve the product. Nothing is processed for a purpose you would find surprising.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on contract performance for the service itself, legitimate interests for security and product improvement, consent for optional communications, and legal obligation where the law requires retention.
We do not sell your data
Bale Web does not sell, rent or trade personal information or conversation content to data brokers, advertisers or any other third party.
Service providers
We share limited data with providers who host our infrastructure, deliver email, process payments and protect against abuse. Each is bound by contract to use it only for those tasks.
Legal disclosure
We may disclose information where a valid legal order requires it, or where disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm. We reject overbroad or improperly issued requests.
International transfers
Our infrastructure spans multiple regions, so data may be processed outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Security measures
Traffic is encrypted in transit, stored data is encrypted at rest, access is restricted to staff who need it, and administrative actions are logged. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise.
Data retention
Account and conversation data is kept while your account is active. After deletion, records are removed from live systems promptly and from backups within ninety days.
Deleting a conversation
Any chat on Bale Web can be deleted from the chat menu. Deleted conversations are removed from your account and stop being used for memory immediately.
Deleting your account
Account deletion is available in settings and is permanent. It removes your profile, companions, settings and message history.
Your access and portability rights
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, in a portable format, at any time.
Correction and objection rights
You may correct inaccurate details, object to certain processing or ask us to restrict it. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it without affecting past lawful processing.
Rights for California residents
Residents of California may request disclosure of categories collected, request deletion and opt out of any sale or sharing. Since Bale Web does not sell personal information, the opt-out is satisfied by default.
How to exercise your rights
Write to privacy@bale-web.com from the address on your account. We reply within thirty days and never charge for a first request.
Marketing communications
We send service emails such as receipts and security notices. Promotional email is optional and every message includes an unsubscribe link.
Automated processing
Companion replies are generated automatically. No automated decision on Bale Web produces a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
Fictional characters
Every companion on Bale Web is a fictional character. Names, images and biographies do not depict real individuals, and no personal data of a real person underlies them.
Third-party links
Some pages link outside Bale Web. Once you follow such a link, the destination's own privacy policy governs what happens to your data.
Breach notification
If a breach is likely to place your rights at risk, we notify affected users and the relevant supervisory authority without undue delay, along with the steps we are taking.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes are announced in the product before they take effect.
